The Pear Tree Purton is an amazing venue. At first sight it’s the classic manor house. Then little by little she reveals her magic. Each area of the hotel is slightly different and it all benefits from a recent total make over.  The superlative amazing cannot be overused here.

When you choose the Peartree as your wedding venue, you choose such a special venue. It has its roots in the 1700s as a former vicarage. Although there have been many changes over the years, the recent renovations have been carried out sympathetically to recall the essence of bygone ages while bringing it bang up-to-date.

The renovations allow the old to meld with the new. The exposed Cotswolds stone, parquet flooring and sloping ceilings serve to showcase a fabulous crystal chandelier in the ceremony room and a stunning skylight in the orangery.

Ways to Transform the Pear Tree Purton Wedding Venue

Imagine open floral arches to frame you and your partner for your ceremony. Or you could opt for a moongate or pentagon arch as a backdrop.  

Think dynamic statement décor that you can use in several locations during your celebrations. Using your décor in more than one part of your venue is a genius way to make the most of your statement décor as you move from one celebration space to another.

An alternative option is statement floral chandeliers and floral clouds suspended under the skylight in the Orangery.

One Idea I’d Love to Implement Here but Haven’t Yet

I would love to create a continuous floral aisle from the main house to the Garden Pavilion with a mirrored aisle down which the couple will glide to confirm their commitment to each other.

For such a scenario, I’d adorn the Garden Pavilion with the most beautiful florals.  

This would create the most glorious outdoor wedding ceremony setting. The stuff of dreams! And rightly so. After all we’re celebrating a glorious love story.

My Favourite Photo Locations at this Venue

The pavilion is a must! It’s a fabulous outdoor ceremony space and an absolutely gorgeous location for evening shots as the sun descends leaving behind soft magical lights and shadows.

The Blossom Suite, where the indoor wedding ceremony takes place is a must. It’s so full of happy tear, hugs and much joys!

Photographers exercise nerves of steel when hanging the wedding gown from the second floor balcony with a sheer drop to the ground floor. But the results are magical and the images are breathtaking.  It’s so worth the risk!

Things to Do in the Area

The Cotswolds water park is perfect for walking and sailing.

The Onsite Vineyard

Cycling. The amateur cyclist will be in heaven discovering the charming local villages.

Any train enthusiasts on your guest list will love the Steam Museum of the Great Western Railway.

Then indulge in a bit of retail therapy with the Swindon Outlet Centre

Visit the historic towns of Bath, Bristol or Cirencester. They’re all within a thirty to forty-five mins drive.
